Job Description: As part of a large scale community-based trial on effect of emolliation on neonatal mortality rate, funded by the Gates Foundation, we are looking for a research assistant with a BAMS degree, preferably with some research experience in Kaumarabhritya. We are global thought leaders in community-based research on neonatal health, with publications in top scientific and medical journals, including The Lancet, Journal of Perinatology, etc. As part of this project, you will assist in conducting an in-depth literature review of Ayurvedic texts on topics of newborn skin, newborn skin care practices, and potential oils for use as emollient. You will participate in protocol development and assist in writing manuscripts. We have a non-hierarchical working environment where people enjoy above-average research with shared team learning. We work on challenging projects and tight deadlines but have fun at the same time. You will work with an interdisciplinary team consisting of social scientists, basic scientists, physician researchers, traditional medicine researchers, etc.
Desired Candidate Profile Demonstrated track record of exceptional performance in academics. Research experience in team environments with publications is highly preferred. Should be able to work under minimal guidance within a team.
