The Groupon Global Travel team (Getaways) is reshaping the way consumers think about buying online travel. Launched in July 2011, Groupon Global Travel is the suitcase-toting team dedicated to Groupon's travel vertical.
We're not your typical online travel platform. We are working to create packages that delight both suppliers and Groupon subscriber alike. For lodging, we focus on independent and boutique properties as well as chains and B&Bs and listen to their needs to craft a deal that is going to get them the customers that they want, when they want them. There is a lot more to come. Out with the old ways of features that serve as price comparisons. We're in the business of featuring travel for everything it is - opportunities for our customers to relax, enjoy themselves, share special moments and be delighted.
As part of this effort we have several projects underway and more coming to significantly improve and enhance our travel related offering.
We are looking for a SDET who has a penchant for testing. You'll play a key part of the Groupon Global Travel engineering team. That means you'll be responsible for the architecture, design and implementation of our products with the rest of the engineering team that spans multiple disciplines just like everyone else. Bring your testing expertise to the game and you'll get the opportunity to work with our engineers on the latest mobile devices.
(Freshers / Experienced) Software Development Engineer for Test (SDET) @ Chennai

Responsibilities:
Strategize, plan, document and execute on the testing of your assigned area.
Design and implement test automation and infrastructures that will be utilized across multiple test and development teams.
Be the voice of Test in agile product teams.
Continually refine your tests because you're never satisfied that you've covered enough.
Conduct research on latest test tools, trends and methodologies.

Requirements:
BS, or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Excellent coding skills in one or more of the following: C++, C#, Objective-C, JAVA, Ruby, Python, and/or Perl
Ability to work in an agile environment with agile teams
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Data freak. We're a metrics driven company.
