The Expedia Worldwide Engineering team's (EWE) mission is to revolutionise Travel through the power of Technology. Every day we get to innovate on web applications that millions of travellers use to plan, book and experience trips they will remember forever.
The EWE supports all Expedia branded websites globally. In 2012, EWE is making a strategic investment by opening a product office in Gurgaon, India where local teams will build features on our global platform as well as monitor and analyze our critical systems.
Objective
The objective of the Operations and Traffic Analysis team in India is to extend and mature our capabilities in website monitoring and analytics using tools, detailed events and information available from our global sites. This team will initially cover normal business hours of operation, with an expectation to expand the coverage to 24x7.

Key Responsibilities
Performance Monitoring of global websites using Omniture Web Analytics and/or other similar tools
Defining and reporting of actionable metrics based on Traffic patterns/trends
Be proactive in investigating and eliminating root cause barriers to accuracy, response time and availability of the site
Creating and reporting on Dashboards by pulling data from different data sources/websites and reporting to key stakeholders
Develop and implement 'Test & Learn' approach and ensure documentation of processes.
Mentoring and share best practices with new hires
Knowledge & Skills Desired
Basic knowledge of internet/web; an avid internet user
Technical background or ability to pick up technology concepts quickly
Ability to demonstrate strong commitment and willingness to learn
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Team Player - works well with other team members and values their efforts and contributions
Comfortable in a fast-paced, multi-tasked, high-energy environment and will display creative and analytical problem solving skills.
Intermediate/Advanced skills in MS Office specifically MS Excel
Experience and Qualifications
Bachelors degree required; preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Maths or Statistics
Experience (project-related, undergraduate experience or intern) with B2B, Technology Consulting or Technology firms preferred, but not essential.
Experience in organising events or extracurricular activities would be an added advantage.
