Preparation of Teaching Learning Materials including textbooks,teachers� handbooks, supplementary materials including monographs, anthology, audio-visual materials, multi-media programs etc. for all stages of school in visual arts, theatre, music and dance.Periodical review of the curriculum and syllabus and its development.Integration of arts education, culture education and heritage crafts across the entire curriculum of school.Designing courses of study for pre-service arts education teachers� training at RIEs and for In-service teachers at National & State boards of Education, SCERT and DIETs.Capacity building of the states in the areas of arts education in developing curriculum, syllabus, textbooks, supplementary materials, teacher training modules etc.Conduct research studies in areas of arts education in schools at different stages and states- the teaching learning and evaluation process, case studies of innovative and best practices in different schools etc.Many issues and concerns have been raised periodically and initiatives undertaken, which require monitoring, guidance and evaluation for their effective implementation.

Associate Professor : 39 posts (UR-20, SC-4, ST-2, OBC-13) in various subjects, Pay Scale : Rs. 37400 – 67000 with AGP 9000

Assistant Professor : 81 posts (UR -31, SC-10, ST-7, OBC-33 ) in various subjects, Pay Scale : Rs. 15600 – 39100 with AGP 6000

Librarian : 01 post, Pay Scale : Rs. 37400 – 67000 with AGP 10000

Nursery School Teacher : 02 posts, Pay Scale : Rs.9300 – Rs.34800 with GP Rs.4200

Headmaster (on deputation) : 01 post, Pay Scale : Rs.15600 – Rs. 39100 with GP Rs. 7600

Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) : 10 posts (4 UR, 1 SC, 5 OBC), Pay Scale : Rs. 9300 – Rs. 34800 with GP Rs.4800

General Instructions:
1. NCERT reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of vacancies advertised as per need or cancel the advertisement itself without any notification.
2. Mere fulfillment of qualifications and other requirement laid down does not entitle as candidate to be called for interview. Mere submission of application will not entail a right for claiming interview.
3. NCERT reserves the right to raise the minimum eligibility qualifications etc. in order to restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview.
4. Applicants serving under Government, Quasi-Government, Public Sector Undertaking and Autonomous Organizations should apply through proper channel.
5. Appointment of -ed candidates is subject to verification of Caste and Character & Antecedents as the case may be from the concerned Authorities, as per the NCERT rules.
6. The -ed candidates are liable to be posted in any constituent unit of the NCERT. Therefore, only those candidates who are willing to serve anywhere in India may apply.
7. Only Indian Nationals need apply.
8. The relaxation in respect of candidates belonging to SC/ST/Persons with Disabilities categories is provided in accordance with the UGC/GOI/NCERT rules.
9. Age, qualifications and pay scales of Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, Headmaster and P.G.T. will be as per the NCERT/UGC/KVS/ Govt. of India norms.
10. In case a candidate wishes to apply for more than one post, he/she may fill separate application alongwith the requisite fee for each post. All applications should be completed in all respect as each will have a separate reference number.
11. Wherever the candidate has received letter grades or grade points instead of marks, provide equivalent marks and attach a certificate from the concerned university explaining the method of conversion.
12. The applications without complete information, required documents and received after the due date will summarily be rejected and no correspondence on this will be entertained.
13. Short listed candidates will be called for interview and will be paid train fare as per Council's rules.
