Job Description (8595 : Senior Engineer- Unix) :
• Expert level knowledge on Solaris, Linux and associated hardware.
• Working knowledge of ZFS , Zones, LDOM, SMF, SVM, LVM, VxVM and other clustering technologies.
• Hands on experience in VMware , AIX
• Should have proven skills in day to day troubleshooting of complex technical incidents/ issues.
• Basic understanding of Storage systems and their application in UNIX environment.
• Strong problem solving background with a focus on ownership of issues and a commitment to resolving them.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.
• Good understanding of ITSM practices.

Position Responsibilities (8596 : Sr Engineer - Unix) :
• Support of enterprise Unix environment, both OS and hardware, in 24 x 7 operation.
• Experience in troubleshooting complex/ escalated incidents in Unix Server environment.
• Knowledge of Cloud computing and support experience.
• Triage,Troubleshoot and resolve problems or incidents.
• Follow and enhance operational procedures.
• Ensure incidents are restored/resolved within defined service levels.
• Good troubleshooting skills.
• Clear verbal and written English communication.
• Good understanding of ITSM practices.
