Job Profile :
• Individual must be an effective communicator.
• Demonstrable track record working with offshore, near shore and on-shore project teams in the delivery of assignments.
• Understanding of the dynamics of global organizations and the time required for effective communications and project tracking.
• Track record of effective interaction with team members that have diverse backgrounds and temperaments, while demonstrating a genuine interest in team members.
• Familiar with the concept of "Follow the Sun" project turnover and delivery.
• Ability to develop and maintain a long-term localization schedule for projects and project assignments.
• Provide one example of effective global projects and the key contributors to that success.
• Provide one example of a global project that did not meet the deliverables and why.
Responsibilities :
• Serve as a Project Leader for multiple Disaster Recovery Procedure Development projects involving various SunGard personnel, contractors and vendors
• Coordinate the activities of a team of Disaster Recovery Procedure Developers across multiple technical platforms
• Manage client expectations, project timelines and deliverables.
• Facilitate meetings to gather the necessary information to develop detailed disaster recovery procedures using standard methodologies.
• Maintain regular and effective communication.
• Schedule and conduct meetings to review project status and review developed procedures.
• Escalate technical issues to the appropriate support personnel.
• Be accountable for the quality and consistency of developed procedures.
• Assist the Service Delivery Manager in maintaining libraries of clients' recovery procedures and be accountable for effective version control.
• Become proficient with SunGard's document management systems.
Skills :
• Minimum five years Project Management experience in an IT environment. PMP certification preferred but not required.
• 3+ years overseeing teams that are responsible for producing high quality technical documentation
• Working knowledge of data of center environments and production practices.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Experience working closely with external customers.
• Excellent communication skills both written and spoken.
• Experience writing technical documentation.
• Fundamental knowledge of many of the following technologies:
• Operating Systems: Windows, VMware, UNIX, Linux
• Backup Software: NetBackup, TSM, Backup Exec, CommVault, etc.
• Databases/applications: Oracle, MS SQL, Exchange, SAP, etc.
• Active Directory.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
