Job Position : Infrastructure Engineer
Job Location : Pune, Maharashtra
Note: Anyone willing to relocate to PUNE should only apply.
Desired Qualification : Any Graduate
Desired Experience : 5 to 7 Years (Mandatory)
Key Responsibilities :
• Provide remote server infrastructure support to the customer for their production, development, pre-prod, UAT and QA environments for both BAU and new projects.
• The BAU support includes coordinating for and working on install, move, add, change and delete of server equipment and its configuration including but not limiting to creating virtual environments, Engineering OS builds and deploying OS builds on various server technologies.
• Routine maintenance of servers across all environments (development, QA, UAT, Pre-prod and production) which includes, patching, monitoring, security policy implementation, upgrades, break fix, backups and restores including disaster recovery for smooth and secure operation.
• Providing technical support to other groups like application development and maintenance, architecture, QA, architecture and other groups within the customer's organization.
• Provide support to the developers, testers, architects and other groups within the company across all branches and be a part of SDLC and be responsible for build and release procedures.
• Monitoring of critical servers / services across the enterprise.
• Documentation of the current design and configuration and continuous updates to change logs, production run books.
• Follow all standard operating procedures and enterprise engineering standards to maintain highest level of performance, availability and security including the disaster recovery procedures.
• Work within the corporate framework / guidelines for data protection, security, compliance for the customer

Technical Skills (Mandatory) :
• Excellent experience on Microsoft server technologies including but not limited to Windows Server 2003, 2008, Legacy technologies like Win NT and Win 2000.
• Full familiarity of virtualization technologies like Microsoft Hypervisor, and VMware ESX is a must.
• Working knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES), DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, Password management and terminal services
• Thorough understanding of web technologies and clear understanding of IIS, HTTP, HTTPS, DMZ etc.
• Backup technologies like Symantec Backup Exec and Arc Serve.
• Antivirus packages – mass deployments, signature updates and policy maintenance – Kaspersky or similar
• Familiarity of Content delivery network technologies like Akamai is an added advantage
• Full understanding of systematic troubleshooting
• Full understanding of monitoring tools technologies over the network like Nagios or similar packages.

Additional Skills (Nice to Have) :
• Knowledge of routers, switches (both core and edge), firewalls (Sonicwall), web content filtering / anti-spam devices like Paolo Alto or similar technology, Wireless device configuration including security policies, hubs, cabling and VPN configurations.
• Understanding of networking standards / protocols like MPLS, BGP etc. including full understanding of routing, switching and firewall policy management.
• Understanding of troubleshooting of applications / systems at the network layer using packet capture analysis.
Communication and Soft Skills :
• Very good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Should have past experience in supporting clients in multiple countries in Europe, USA and Asia Pacific
• Should be polite and should have "customer first" attitude
• Should be able to function independently in the global and diverse team with positive attitude.
• Should be self-motivated, fast learner and a go-getter
• Working within Shifts (Should be ok for 24*7 mandatory)
- The candidate is expected to work in multiple shifts on a rotational basis – this includes nights and weekends.
