Description:
• An Associate Technology contributes to Sapient engagements by creating units of defect free code modules that meet the business and technical requirements during Enterprise Architecture Release (Ear), Implementation and Manage phases

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• An Associate, Technology plays a significant role during the implementation of the technological solution for our clients
• An Associate, Technology is involved in ensuring a quality code that satisfies the business requirements of the client.
• Interprets the design documents created by other members of the team for purposes of implementing the specifications
• Writes application code to meet expected quality standards by conforming to the steps of doneness defined by the project
• Creates unit test cases identified by senior members of the team and writes code to validate those test cases
• Reports accurate status to the track lead
• Identifies & escalates issues that might delay the work. Reports progress and issues to the track lead/ Manager in a timely manner. In particular, to relay issues that might impact on quality or the ability to deliver to timescales or estimates.
• Identifies and calls out dependencies that affect their individual work
• Delivers in compliance with Sapient methodology, processes, tools and technology standards
• Maintains and updates the design documentation for the modules that is assigned to him/her
• Maintains and updates the Unit Test Case Artifact for the modules that is assigned to him/her
• Assist Sr Developer/TrackLead/Manager in Creating Release Notes/User Manual for the modules that is assigned to him/her

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required
• 1- 4 years' experience in one or more of the following: systems integration and development using Java, package implementation, relational databases and Unit Testing.
• Most importantly, an Associate must have strong Java Technical and Analytical skills.
• Must have creativity and innovation and the ability to abstract detail into larger patterns. It is also important for an Associate, Technology to understand how the disciplines work together to provide a complete solution for our clients.
• Apart from Strong Technical and Programming skills, An Associate, Technology should posses good behavioral skills collaborative in nature, working in flexible timings,
• Participation during design discussions, Adopting to the working environment etc.,

Experience in: Java - Core Java, Web Technologies (HTML, JavaScript/Ajax) , Rich Internet Applications (jQuery), J2EE, XML, Database Frameworks, Database Fundamentals, Spring Platform, Standard Utilities (Apache Commons, Log4j, CheckStyle Plugin, PMD for PQM, Ant/Maven for build, jUnit for Testing etc.,)
Business Knowledge: Domain experience would be a plus
