PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
This job belongs to the IMS organization under SAP. Installed Base Maintenance and Support (IMS) is a global organization within SAP and it supports the installed base of SAP products which are in mass shipment. IMS is the custodian of codebase of such products. IMS protects the maintenance revenue of SAP by providing highly efficient maintenance support to all SAP customers and is thus valued as trusted advisor by SAP customers for their business.
About the Job:
As part of IMS, you will be exposed to SAP's biggest customers and you will support them with technical expertise in the role of Software Engineer. The primary objective is to establish you as expert with product ownership in the role of development support engineer at IMS. You will have to build excellent product knowledge as well as expertise in ABAP and ABAP OO. You will be working for the Installed Base Maintenance and Support (IMS) organization which is a global unit within the OPD Board area supporting SAP's customers for all products in IMS responsibility. Your aim should be to take ownership of your product topics and to deliver the best service to our customers, who rely on SAP as trusted advisor for their business.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
• Provide a high quality of support to SAP Customers by gaining deep product expertise
• Resolve customer messages at the Development Support level.
• Ensure high quality of corrections and support packages.
• Continuous improvement and optimization of support activities.
• Take KT of new topics/codelines from colleagues within the team.
We are looking for colleagues who have willingness to work in a maintenance role, have good analytical and problem solving skills, are team players, have ability to work under pressure, know how to handle critical customer situations and those who are high on performance and Learning orientation. High level of commitment towards ownership of product/topic will be the key for success.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
BE/B. Tech/ME/M. Tech/MCA with a minimum of 65%.
• High Proficiency in ABAP.
• Knowledge of OO ABAP desired
• Good analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent communication skills
• High performance and learning orientation
WORK EXPERIENCE
Experience: 1 to 3 years work experience.
