Auto req ID 29373BR Position Software Engineer Country India State / Province Karnataka City / Town Bangalore Business Category Engineering Entity Volvo Group Trucks Technology Employment/Assignment Type Regular Position Description • This position is in our Electrical and Electronics Engineering department. • The purpose of this position is to develop and maintain software for various electronic units within Electrical and Electronics. http://www.ChetanaS.org RESPONSIBILITIES • To maintain, develop, test, document and release software solutions according to the need of product modification request or quality issues • Discuss with the System engineering/Functional group to get the required specification which need to be analyzed and implemented as solution • Responsible for providing estimates for the work packages and technically implementing the solution • Plan and maintain Implement / plan releases based on the needs of the global sites for different brands • Develop embedded code in 'C' language from software requirements • Develop unit test cases and test the software code to verify implementation using manual and testing tools • Document the software code in order to release the software for use in the electronic control unit. • Follow the predetermined work processes in order to comply with the standards QUALIFICATION & BACKGROUND • 1-2 years experience in the embedded software development area. • Automotive domain knowledge • Good communication skill (written and verbal) in English. • BE/M.tech in Electronics or Electrical Engineering • Excellent C and assembly programming and debugging skills. • Proficiency in Microcontrollers e.g: C167 controller and its variants • Knowledge of CAN (e.g. J1939) protocol and Canalyzer and CANOE or Matlab/Simulink http://www.ChetanaS.org ..................................................
