Region Asia-Pacific Subregion India Country-City IND-Pune - Weikfield Business Title Quality Engineer, Associate PTC Org PDV Job Description for Advertising Purposes - Candidate will perform a variety of quality assurance, metrics monitoring and process improvement tasks for an enterprise software application. http://www.ChetanaS.org Responsibilities will include some or all of the following: - Execute software testing and develop test cases and test plans - Install and configure software products on various platforms - Develop and maintain automated software tests - Report software defects and track quality metrics such as defect counts and test coverage - Define and generate quality metrics and key performance indicators - Define and roll out process improvements and participate in process audits Education and Experience: - Bachelors degree, preferably Computer Science, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering or related field - 1-4 years experience in software quality assurance, software development, software technical support, or related field - Knowledge of software development or quality assurance methodologies and terminology - Experience in automated testing, software programming, or software scripting would be an advantage - Exposure to any web-based applications, especially PDM/PLM, would be an advantage - Exposure to PDM/PLM concepts such as Bill of Material or Change Management beneficial - Strong written and spoken English communication skills - Skilled in communicating with a globally distributed team comprising cross functional team members such as product managers, software engineers, and technical support engineers - Flexible, adaptable, and willing to learn new technologies - Experience using Windows or UNIX operating systems - Experience with scripting tools like PERL, Ruby, Python and building custom tools will be an added advantage.
