Job Details : • Experience : 5 to 8 years • Location : Bangalore, Karnataka • Functional area : IT Software - System Programming • Role : Senior Software Developer • Keywords : Linux, Support • Online Assessment : No • Job type : Permanent http://www.ChetanaS.org Job Description : • A minimum of 5 years experience as a support, sustaining or development engineer or other directly related experience in an enterprise environment • Outstanding understanding of the current Linux kernel, with emphasis on storage subsystems • Strong experience in one or more of the following technology areas in a software engineering, analytical or development capacity • The Linux 2.6 virtual memory subsystem • The Linux 2.6 SCSI subsystem • Linux storage device drivers • Locally attached storage (IDE/ATA, SAS/PAS) • Storage area networks, storage virtualisation and fiber channel attached storage (inc. iSCSI/FCoE) • High-availability clustering and clustered shared-storage file systems • Common Linux file systems (ext2/3/4, XFS, reiserfs, etc.) • Redundant storage systems (RAID, multipath I/O, distributed storage) • Experience of Linux crash dump analysis (vmcore analysis) with the crash tool is an advantage • A solid understanding of hardware and computer architecture (x86/x86_64 required - additional architectures beneficial) • Strong development experience with C and familiarity with established open source methodologies • Experience writing scripts using BASH and Python, to troubleshoot and correct Linux issues http://www.ChetanaS.org ..................................................
